How Would You Cope With Your Life Ending as You Know It?

How Would You Cope With Your Life Ending as You Know It?

At 28, Dan McQueen was leading a healthy, active life. Then an optometrist appointment to identify the cause of his persistent headaches turned into emergency brain surgery. Complications led to a brain hemorrhage and a coma that lasted four weeks. Dan had to relearn everything he once knew: how to walk, talk, and even smile.

He was well on the way to recovery and had just returned to work part-time when thirteen months later there was another shock.  He was found unconscious in his home and underwent emergency surgery again.

He woke up feeling all his progress had been washed away and hit his lowest point.

What he discovered along the way to recovery might surprise you: there is nothing like a brain injury to refocus the mind!

Dan shares his experiences with groups ranging from medical students in London to patients at the NHS Wolfson Rehabilitation Center to Headway, a brain injury association.

Grateful for the doctors who saved his life he wants to pay it forward. Dan's interview will give you practical approaches to triumph over adversity.
